2025 Malaysia Masters Full Schedule

The action kicks off on Tuesday, May 20th with the Qualifying Round and the Round of 32 for Men’s and Women’s Doubles (excluding qualifiers). Matches will be spread across four courts, with doors opening at 9:00 AM and the first serves commencing at 10:00 AM for the qualifying rounds. The Round of 32 matches will then ignite the afternoon session starting at 4:00 PM.

The intensity continues on Wednesday, May 21st with the Round of 32 for Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Mixed Doubles, and the Men’s and Women’s Doubles qualifiers. Again, four courts will be in play, with doors opening at 9:00 AM and matches starting at 10:00 AM.

As the tournament progresses, the stakes get higher. Thursday, May 22nd will see the remaining contenders battle it out in the Round of 16 across four courts, starting at 10:00 AM (doors open at 9:00 AM).

The quarter-finals will set the stage for the final showdown on Friday, May 23rd. The top eight players/teams in each category will compete across three courts in two sessions: a morning session starting at 9:00 AM (doors open at 8:00 AM) and an afternoon session commencing at 3:00 PM.

The semi-finals on Saturday, May 24th will narrow the field down to the finalists. The excitement will build on two courts, with doors opening at 11:00 AM and matches starting at 12:00 PM.

Finally, the champions will be crowned on Sunday, May 25th in the highly anticipated Finals. All eyes will be on the center court (Court 1) as the ultimate battles unfold, starting at 12:00 PM (doors open at 11:00 AM).

For fans unable to attend in person, there’s good news! Court 1 action will be televised from the Round of 16 onwards, starting on Thursday, May 22nd, and concluding with the Finals on Sunday, May 25th. Be sure to check your local broadcasters for specific schedules in your country.

2025 Malaysia Masters Prize Money List

This year, a total of US$475,000 is up for grabs, marking a substantial US$55,000 jump from the US$420,000 offered in the previous year. This impressive 13.10% rise underscores the growing prestige and importance of the Malaysia Masters on the international badminton circuit.

The lucrative prize money will be distributed across both singles and doubles categories, rewarding players for their hard work and achievements throughout the tournament. Here’s a breakdown of the prize distribution:

For the Men’s Singles & Women’s Singles categories:

  • Winner: A hefty $35,625 will be awarded to the champion.
  • Runner-Up: The silver medalist will take home a substantial $18,050.
  • Semi-Finalists: Reaching the final four guarantees a prize of $6,887.50 for each player.
  • Quarter-Finalists: Even reaching the final eight is a rewarding feat, with each player earning $2,850.
  • Last 16: Players who make it to the Round of 16 will receive $1,662.50.

For the Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles categories (per pair):

  • Winners: The victorious pairs in each doubles discipline will pocket an impressive $37,525.
  • Runners-Up: The pairs finishing in second place will each receive $18,050.
  • Semi-Finalists: Making it to the semi-finals earns each pair $6,650.
  • Quarter-Finalists: Reaching the final eight as a pair is rewarded with $3,443.75.
  • Last 16: Even making it to the Round of 16 as a pair secures a prize of $1,781.25.
