Australia reaffirmed its dominance in Oceania badminton by securing its ninth title at the 2025 Oceania Mixed Team Badminton Championships. The tournament, held in New Zealand, saw Australia deliver an impeccable performance, winning all their matches with a flawless 5-0 record.

Having won nine of the twelve editions of the tournament, Australia once again proved why they are the strongest mixed team in the region. Their gold medal run in 2025 was particularly remarkable, as they did not drop a single point throughout the competition. Every match ended in a 5-0 victory, showcasing their superior skill and depth across all disciplines—men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.

Australia topped the standings with four wins out of four matches, accumulating 40 game wins and a staggering point difference of +497. Their closest competitor, host nation New Zealand, secured the silver medal with three wins and one loss, while Tahiti claimed the bronze medal.

This latest triumph cements Australia’s status as the powerhouse of Oceania badminton. Their ability to maintain consistency and dominance in team events continues to set the benchmark for other nations in the region.

With this victory, Australia extends its legacy in the Oceania Mixed Team Badminton Championships, further solidifying its place as the continent’s most successful team. And with this result, Australia will once again represent Oceania in the 2025 Sudirman Cup which will be held in China next April.
