BWF Unveils Exciting 2026 Para Badminton Tour Calendar

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – The Badminton World Federation (BWF) today announced the eagerly anticipated 2026 Para Badminton Tournament Calendar, promising a thrilling year of competition for athletes worldwide. The comprehensive schedule features a mix of established and new host cities, culminating in the prestigious BWF Para Badminton World Championships in Manama, Bahrain.

The 2026 season kicks off with the Egypt Para Badminton International in Cairo from January 12-18, a Grade 2, Level 2 event. This will be swiftly followed by the highlight of the year, the BWF Para Badminton World Championships, set to take place in Manama, Bahrain, from February 7-14. This Grade 1 tournament will see the world’s elite para badminton players vie for the coveted world titles. Eligibility for the World Championships will be determined by the Para Badminton World Rankings published on November 11, 2025, following the conclusion of the Japan Para Badminton International 2025.

The tour continues with a strong presence in Europe, featuring two Spanish Para Badminton International events in Vitoria (March 16-22) and Toledo (March 25-29), followed by the Czechia Para Badminton International in Prague (April 13-19).

The ever-popular Fazza Dubai Para Badminton International returns from May 5-10, offering another high-level competition. June sees the tour head to Europe again, with the France Para Badminton International (June 15-21) and the British & Irish Para Badminton International in Dublin (June 24-28).

Africa will host the Uganda Para Badminton International in Kampala from July 6-12, while South America gets its turn with the Peru Para Badminton International in Lima from August 3-9.

The latter half of the year will feature key events in Asia, including the China Para Badminton International in Beijing (August 31 – September 6) and the Japan Para Badminton International (September 7-13). A major multisport event, the Asian Para Games, will take place in Aichi-Nagoya from October 18-24, serving as a Grade 3 tournament. The year will conclude with two strong events in Southeast Asia: the Thailand Para Badminton International in Bangkok (November 23-29) and the Indonesia Para Badminton International in Solo (November 30 – December 6).

The BWF reminds all Member Associations, National Paralympic Committees, BWF recognized organizations, team managers, and para badminton players to refer to the official BWF Corporate Website Para Badminton Calendar page for the most up-to-date information, including any additional tournaments that may be added throughout the year. Members are also advised to check the prospectus of each tournament for further details on participation and any updated dates of competition.

While not all Level 2 and Level 3 tournaments will offer classification, the BWF will confirm the events that will provide classification for 2026 as soon as possible.
