The 2022 Australian Open (official and sponsored title: Sathio Group Australian Open 2022) was an international badminton tournament that took place at the Quaycentre (formerly known as the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre) in Sydney, Australia from 15 to 20 November 2022. It had a total prize pool of US$180,000 and was categorized as a Super 300 event.
The 2022 Australian Open was the only premier badminton event held in Oceania this year due to the cancellation of the 2022 New Zealand Open. Following the revamped BWF World Tour for the 2023-2026 calendar, the status of the Australian Open will be upgraded to a Super 500 event for the next four years with a minimum total purse of 420,000 US dollars.
