2024 Arctic Open: Schedule and Prize Money

The 2024 Arctic Open badminton championships will be held from October 8th to 13th, 2024. The tournament will feature both qualifying rounds and main draw matches. The qualifying rounds will take place on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. The main draw will be held from Tuesday, October 8 to Sunday, October 13, 2024. Meanwhile, tickets are priced between 17.60 and 49.10 euros for adults and 9.10 and 25.60 euros for children under 15. Discounts are available for students, seniors, and people with disabilities. Additionally, multiple-day passes are available.

Qualifying Rounds:

  • Date: Tuesday, October 8th
  • Time: Starting at 8:00 AM

Main Draw Matches:

  • Date: Tuesday, October 8th to Sunday, October 13th
  • Times:
    • First Round (WS and XD): October 8th, starting at 3:00 PM
    • First Round: October 9th, starting at 8:00 AM
    • Second Round: October 10th, starting at 10:00 AM
    • Quarter-finals: October 11th, starting at 2:00 PM
    • Semi-finals (Session 1): October 12th, starting at 10:00 AM
    • Semi-finals (Session 2): October 12th, starting at 5:00 PM
    • Finals: October 13th, starting at 12:00 PM

Important Notes:

  • All times are in Eastern European Summer Time (EEST) (UTC+3).
  • The first round matches for women’s singles and mixed doubles will be held on Tuesday, except for matches involving players from the qualifying rounds.

Prize Money

The 2024 Arctic Open boasts a total prize pool of US$420,000, distributed across the five categories in accordance with BWF regulations. The prize money allocation aims to reward players for their performance and encourage greater participation in the tournament.

The winners of each singles category (Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles) receive a substantial prize of $31,500. In the doubles categories (Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles), the winning pair receives $33,180 to be shared equally. The prize money distribution extends to players reaching various stages of the tournament, ensuring recognition and financial reward for their efforts.
