2025 Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships

The 2025 Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships (official and sponsored title: Tsingtao Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship 2025) is the fourth edition of the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships, a continental team badminton championship held by Badminton Asia and hosted by the Chinese Badminton Association. Serving as the Asian zone qualification for the 2025 Sudirman Cup, it will be held from February 11 to 16, 2025 at the Conson Gymnasium in Qingdao, China.

China is the defending champion.

Tournament Details

Format

The 2025 Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships follows a team format, where each country fields a squad of players. Here’s a breakdown of the general format:

• Group Stage:
  • Teams are divided into groups.
  • Within each group, teams play each other in a round-robin format.
  • The top two teams from each group advance to the knockout stage.
• Knockout Stage:
  • Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, and Final are played in a single-elimination format.
  • The winning team in each tie progresses to the next round.
• Match Format:
  • Each tie consists of five matches:
    • One men’s singles
    • One women’s singles
    • One men’s doubles
    • One women’s doubles
    • One mixed doubles
• Winning a Tie:
  • A team wins a tie by winning three out of the five matches.

Draw

The draw for the 2025 Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships was conducted on January 17th. The tournament featured a group stage with three nations in each group. The top-seeded team, China, was strategically placed in Group A. Meanwhile, South Korea, the second seed, was assigned to Group D.
