The 2025 Pan Am Mixed Team Badminton Championships featured a two-stage tournament format. The competition began with a group phase, where teams competed against each other in a round-robin. Following the group stage, the top-performing teams advanced to a knockout round, consisting of quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final match, to determine the overall champion.
Each team tie, whether in the group stage or knockout round, consisted of five matches. These matches included men’s singles (MS), women’s singles (WS), men’s doubles (MD), women’s doubles (WD), and mixed doubles (XD). To win a tie, a team had to win at least three of these five matches.
During the group stage, all five matches were always played, even if one team had already secured the three wins necessary to claim the tie.
