The Li-Ning Hong Kong Open 2026 enters a fresh era this fall. Part of the HSBC BWF World Tour Super 500 series, the elite tournament will take place from November 17 to 22, 2026. For the first time in its history, world-class shuttlers will battle for a share of the US$ 500,000 prize purse at the newly minted Grand Hall – Kai Tak Arena, located inside the state-of-the-art Kai Tak Sports Park.
A Next-Generation Venue for Elite Sport
The move to Kai Tak Arena represents a major upgrade for one of Asia’s most anticipated badminton fixtures. Located on the historic grounds of the former Kai Tak Airport, the venue officially opened its doors in March 2025 as part of Hong Kong’s largest multi-purpose sports complex.
