Indonesia Cruises to BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championships Final After Thrilling Victory Over India

Guwahati, India – The Indonesian junior badminton team marched into the final of the BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championships 2025 after a commanding 2-0 victory over hosts India on Friday afternoon (October 10).

The semifinal showdown at the National Centre of Excellence delivered plenty of drama and excitement as the “Skuad Merah Putih” (Red and White Squad) battled through an intense opening set before asserting complete dominance in the second.

Indonesia Survives a Tense Opening Set

The match began with Indonesia under early pressure. Doubles pair Muhammad Rizki Mubarrok/Raihan Daffa Edsel Pramono and singles player Thalita Ramadhani Wiryawan both dropped their opening games, giving India an early edge at 16-18.

But the Indonesians refused to back down. Moh. Zaki Ubaidillah turned the tide with a clutch win over Rounak Chouhan, sparking a comeback that pushed Indonesia ahead 27-23.

Momentum continued to swing Indonesia’s way when Ikhsan Lintang Pramudya/Rinjani Kwinnara Nastine extended the lead to 36-33. With growing confidence, the Red and White squad closed out the first set 45-35 after a string of powerful rallies and disciplined defense.

Total Control in the Second Set

Riding high on momentum, Indonesia came out firing in the second set and quickly established their dominance. Early wins from Raihan Daffa Edsel Pramono/Alexius Ongkytama Subagio and Thalita Ramadhani Wiryawan helped build a commanding 27-15 advantage.

The energy on court continued to rise as Zaki Ubaidillah and the doubles pair Ikhsan Lintang Pramudya/Rinjani Kwinnara Nastine delivered back-to-back victories, widening the gap to 36-19.

Finally, Riska Anggraini and Rinjani Kwinnara Nastine sealed the deal with a flawless performance against Aanya Bisht/Angel Punera, closing out the second set 45-21 and securing Indonesia’s 2-0 triumph.

With this result, Indonesia advances to the final of the BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championships 2025, where they will battle for the prestigious world title.

Final Score: Indonesia def. India 2-0 (45-35, 45-21)
