Lee Zii Jia at the 2022 BWF World Championships

Lee Zii Jia is a Malaysian number one badminton player and reigning Asian champion. Lee competed at the 2022 BWF World Championships in Tokyo, Japan. Lee Zii Ji played in the men’s singles event as the fifth seed.

Lee Zii Jia was drawn bottom with world number two Kento Momota of Japan, the two-time world champions.

Lee played the French man Brice Leverdez in the first round. He won the match with ease in two straight games (21-9, 21-13).

Lee faced Portugal’s Bernardo Atilano in the second round and he managed to win. He was then defeated by Chinese player Zhao Junpeng in the third round.
