United States of America (USA) competed at the 2022 BWF World Championships in Tokyo, Japan from 22 to 28 August 2022. The USA sent 9 shuttlers to play in all events except men’s doubles.
The USA is the only nation from its continent to ever win a medal at the BWF World Championships. It occurred at the home ground Championships in 2005 through Howard Bach / Tony Gunawan.
The two Asian-born shuttlers won a gold medal in the men’s doubles event, beating Indonesian pair Sigit Budiarto / Candra Wijaya in the finals.
