BASEL, Switzerland – The Yonex Swiss Open 2026 is set to return to the iconic St. Jakobshalle from 10–15 March 2026. As a premier event in the HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300 circuit, the tournament has officially released its comprehensive competition schedule and a detailed breakdown of the US$ 250,000 prize purse.
With the tournament director, Julien Tissot, and the organizing committee finalizing preparations, the event promises a week of high-intensity badminton featuring the world’s top-ranked athletes.
Comprehensive Competition Schedule
The six-day event will utilize four competition courts initially, narrowing down to a single show court for the grand finals.
- Tuesday, 10 March (Qualification & R32): The action begins at 09:30 with qualification rounds for all disciplines (MS, WS, MD, WD, XD). At 16:00, the first round (R32) for Men’s and Women’s Doubles will commence.
- Wednesday, 11 March (Round of 32): Competition starts at 10:00 for all remaining Round of 32 matches. Notably, any finalists from the YONEX All England Open 2026 will have their matches scheduled for Wednesday to accommodate travel.
- Thursday, 12 March (Round of 16): The quest for the quarterfinals begins at 12:00.
- Friday, 13 March (Quarterfinals): Matches are split into two sessions, starting at 12:00 and 18:00.
- Saturday, 14 March (Semifinals): The penultimate day features sessions at 12:00 and 17:00.
- Sunday, 15 March (Finals): The championship matches begin at 11:00 on Court 1, followed immediately by the presentation ceremonies.
